1 million percent recommend Barbara. She is unbelievably talented. She was recommended by the shop I purchased my wedding dress from, and I was over the moon with her work, and attention to detail. Nothing was too much trouble and she did an absolutely fantastic job. She was also the loveliest lady to deal with, she replied to my messages so quickly, and made me feel at complete ease. Wow! What an excellent seamstress to find for my wedding dress! So much care was taken over the dress and alterations were made that were not easy and ones that I thought I would need however it was suggested and luckily it was as allowed the end result to be so much better. So accommodating, flexible with booking and not there to take loads of your time on different appointments. Super lovely and highly recommend.

Barbara recently repaired 2 pairs of jeans for me. She was highly responsive on WhatsApp even on a Sunday! In person, she was equally delightful. Rather than spending a few hundred pounds on new jeans, Barbara has ensured I can keep using my existing ones for years to come. She repaired them in under 7 days! Highly recommend her.

I’ve been to Barbara a few times now. I love her thoughtful and honest approach to alterations. I recently had two dresses adjusted, one being very fine sheer material which had to be taken out at the waist. Barbara was very honest that taking it out at the darts might leave some marks where the old stitches were but I was happy to try anyway. When I got the dress back it was amazing! I can’t tell where she adjusted it, only that it fits perfectly. Her work is meticulously and I feel confident whenever I leave things with her. I was in two minds about whether to have the sleeves adjusted and Barbara suggested I wait till the other adjustments were done to see how I felt about this. I think this says a lot. She cares about her customers. I highly recommend her for what ever it is you need adjusting.

Barbara beautifully adjusted a dress I needed for a ball - everything was perfect from the length and waist adjustments. She adjusted the dress from a size 14 to size 8 and it fit like a glove. She is extremely thoughtful, accommodating and a brilliant tailor! Thank you so much Barbara!

If I could give 6 stars I would be ! Barbara altered my dress for my wedding . I picked up yesterday and oh my god . I thought I loved this dress before but Barbara made the dress mine . My dress has an overskirt and she uttered it to fit exactly as it should and made this dress fit me like a glove while also making me feel supported in the dress . On top of that her warm personality made the whole experience one to remember. Thankyou so much Barbara I am even more excited to ware this dress thanks to you I havnt stopped smiling since . Will be adding photos after the big day has happened.

My experience here was great! I have had a few dresses tightened and altered in various ways and it was always possible and well executed! Barbara has done them within a week in less busy periods and when asked but always works around your schedule! I will be returning 🙂

Barbara Ammar did an absolutely amazing job altering the dress I changed into for my wedding evening party. I brought the dress to her as a size 14, and she tailored it beautifully to fit me like a size 8… the fit was incredible and looked completely natural. 5 stars isn’t enough for Barbara! Barbara altered my wedding dress at quite short notice and did it in absolutely no time! She did the most amazing job and I needed quite a bit off the length and waste area. I was quite nervous as the dress was lace but it was like I’d just picked it up brand new from the shop. Barbara also made my sleeves out of spare lace which just finished the dress off beautifully! 🥹Thank you so much again, you are so amazing at what you do!
